Elektron and Elektron II are both constructed for RORO mission. The vessels are designed to go in shallow water where Elektron II also can land set on beaches. With solid ramps and reinforced tires withstand the ships extremely heavy loads. The vessels are therefor suitable  for the transport of transformers, turbines, submarine cables and other facilities for energy and power industries.

MV Elektron II is our primary vessel within RORO mission. Elektron II runs along the coast between the islets and rocks into the fjords to deliver loads up to 300 tons. With its ideal design, the ship is very suitable for transport in shallow waters.

MV Elektron II operated and staffed by Simon Møkster Shipping. For nearly 50 years, the ship served as the main vessel for the transportation of heavy transformers from continent to over 100 locations along the Norwegian coast. Commercial operations performed by Statnett Transport AS.
